Leah T. Hearne

Resource Centre Coordinator, Instructor in Acting and Script Analysis, Budding Playwrights' Festival Coordinator.

A resident of Rosebud since 1995, Leah is a member of the Acting Company with Rosebud Theatre. She is an actor, director, writer and instructor. She also assists in Rosebud's Development Department and is Administrative Assistant for Rosebud Theatre.

Acting credits for Rosebud Theatre include; $38,000 for a Friendly Face, A Bright Particular Star, Christmas in Wales, Fiddler on the Roof, The Homecoming, The Good Doctor, Village of Idiots, The Diviners, The Foreigner, Garage Sale, Arms and the Man, Steel Magnolias, and The Curious Savage. Other acting credits include; Rilla of the Island (Story Girl Productions), Troy Women (Rosebud School of the Arts), Destroying Mt. St. Helen's (Ghost Light Manifesto), 'night Mother (Pixie Productions), and The Canadian Badlands Passion Play.

Directing credits include; Happy Days (Uncanny Productions), Woza Albert! (Rosebud Theatre BMO Studio Stage), The Crucible (Northmount Stage), The Comedy of Errors (Prairie Bible Institute), Wobbling Madonna (Fully Clothed Nude Productions), The Long Christmas Dinner (Rosebud School of the Arts), Pith! and Nativity in the Square (Rosebud Touring).

A lover of the written word, Leah's writing credits include; co-writing St. Nick's Magical Mystical Mystery Tour (Rosebud Theatre), and The Giant's Heart (Rosebud School of the Arts). As the coordinator for RSA's Budding Playwright's Festival she has assisted in the development of eighteen new Canadian plays since 2005. She is currently writing her third novel, The First Goodbye.

One of Leah's greatest joys is witnessing students develop their unique artistic voice.
